We are excited to announce the release of the next version of the Minimalist Library for Blocs 5, the ultimate add-on for your Blocs web design workflow. The new 1.1 update brings over 115 new beautiful sections, along with hundreds of small tweaks and improvements to already existing ones.
Very Capable Beta
We understand that Blocs 5.1 is still not officially released yet and is only available in beta. Therefore, we want to remind you that the Minimalist Library 1.1 is also currently in beta. Nonetheless, we have already witnessed many Blocs Master members utilizing the Minimalist Library Beta to construct some incredible websites. Take, for instance, this impressive dark-themed website created by Anthony.
What’s New
The new additions include many new feature, pricing, hero, gallery, and navigation sections, with many more currently in development and will be added every month. We aim to ensure that you have access to a wide variety of sections that can help you create unique and attractive websites.
How to Update
Updating to the new Minimalist Library 1.1 is easy.
First, download the archive containing the new version of the Library from your Blocs Master account and unarchive it on your Mac.
Then, go to the Blocs app's Extension Manager (located under the 'Window' menu), click on the '+' icon, and open the folder with all the files for Minimalist Library 1.1.
Select every BEX file in that folder and click 'Open.'
Blocs will automatically scan your library, replace the updated sections, and add the missing ones.
Speed Improvements
We are happy to announce that the installation process has dramatically improved (more than 10x on some machines). We thank Norm (the developer of Blocs app) for improving this, as installation time was one of the few complaints we received about the Minimalist Library.
Starter Site Template
During the installation process, the new Minimalist Library 1.1 beta Site Template will be installed on your Blocs app. We recommend that you use this new version of the Site Template for all your future projects (you can delete the 1.0 beta version Site Template). This will ensure that you have access to all the latest features and sections that the Minimalist Library has to offer.
